📋 주주총회 현장 분위기!
저도 당당한 주주의 자격으로 직접 참석해봤는데요~
행사는 서울시청 앞 ‘더플라자 호텔’ 그랜드볼룸에서 진행되었습니다.
호텔에서 진행된 만큼 뭔가 분위기부터 고급스럽죠? 😎
자리에는 이렇게 생수와 회의자료가 세팅되어 있었습니다.
그리고!! 서범식 대표이사가 직접 연단에 올라 발표를 시작했습니다!!
📋 이번 주총의 주요 안건은?
- 감독이사 남태연 재선임의 건
- 감독이사 박현주 선임의 건
두 건이었습니다!
투표는 전자투표 시스템 없이 거수 방식으로 진행되었는데요,
반대표만 손을 드는 방식이라, 반대자 확인에 시간이 상당히 오래 걸렸습니다.
담당 직원이 직접 손 든 분들에게 다가가 이름과 보유 주식 수를 수기 확인하는 시스템이었어요.
😳 돌발상황? 주총꾼 등장?!
한 백발의 어르신께서 “인사가 만사다! 좋은 이사를 뽑는 것이 가장 중요하다”는
내용으로 긴 연설을 하셨는데요…
타이밍을 잘못 잡으셨는지, 같은 내용을 두 번 반복하시면서
주변 참석자들이 “조용히 해주세요!”라고 외치는 소란이 벌어지기도 했습니다.
“보고 싶었던 그 전설의 주총꾼이 이분인가…?
…그런데 사측 쪽 주총꾼 같기도 하고… 🤔”
조금은 흥미로운(?) 경험이었습니다 ㅎㅎ
📈 맥쿼리인프라의 성장과 유상증자 이야기
발표에서는 맥쿼리인프라의 성장 과정을 강조하며,
유상증자에 대한 설명도 이어졌습니다.
사실… 직전 유상증자 가격보다 현재 주가가 낮아서
주주 입장에서 기분이 좋지는 않네요 😢

이후 이어진 질의응답 시간에는
많은 주주분들이 유상증자, 낮은 주가, 배당 감소 등에 대해 질문을 하셨고,
사측은 “잘 하겠습니다”라는 느낌의 다소 원론적인 답변을 이어갔습니다.
📝 첫 주총 참석 소감
이번이 제 생애 첫 주총 참석이었는데요,
인터넷에서 회자되는 주총꾼이나 드라마 같은 장면은 거의 없었고,
대부분의 주주들이 실명을 밝히며 깔끔하고 매너 있게 질의하셨습니다.
📌 개인적인 생각으로는, 구경 목적이 아니라면
현재 보유 지분 규모에서는 크게 의미 있는 참여는 어렵다는 생각이 들었습니다.
나중에 더 많은 지분을 확보하고,
정말 목소리를 낼 수 있는 주주가 되어 다시 참석해보고 싶네요!

On March 28, 2025, Macquarie Infrastructure Fund (088980) held its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM)!

As a proud shareholder, I decided to attend the meeting in person.
The event was held at the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel, right in front of Seoul City Hall.
Being hosted at a hotel, the atmosphere felt classy from the start 😎
Seats were neatly arranged with bottled water and printed materials.
Soon after, CEO Beom-Sik Suh took the stage and opened the session.
📋 Main Agenda Items
- Reappointment of Director Tae-Yeon Nam
- Appointment of Director Hyun-Joo Park
These were the two items on the agenda.
Voting was conducted without electronic systems, using a show-of-hands method.
Only those opposing were asked to raise their hands, after which staff would approach them
to manually record names and the number of shares. It was a time-consuming process.
😳 A Scene-Stealing Moment?
An elderly gentleman took the microphone and passionately said:
“Personnel is everything! Choosing the right directors is the most important thing.”
However, his timing was a bit off, and he repeated the same points twice,
prompting other attendees to shout, “Please be quiet!”
“Was this the legendary shareholder I’ve read about online…?
Or maybe… someone sent by the company? 🤔”
Either way, it made the experience quite memorable. 😄
📈 Company Growth & Capital Increase
The CEO highlighted Macquarie Infra’s growth path,
emphasizing that the recent capital increase was intended to support long-term development.
Honestly… the current stock price is lower than the most recent offering price,
so as a shareholder, it doesn’t feel great 😢
❓ Q&A Session: Capital Increase, Stock Price, and Dividends
During the Q&A, many shareholders raised concerns about
the capital increase, declining stock price, and dividend cuts.
Management responded with fairly standard lines like “We’ll do our best.”
📝 My First AGM Experience
This was my first time attending an AGM,
and unlike what I had read online, there were no dramatic confrontations or infamous shareholder theatrics.
Most attendees were polite and professional, asking questions using their real names.
📌 My honest takeaway: unless you’re attending out of curiosity,
it’s difficult to have real influence unless you hold a significant number of shares.
One day, I hope to return as a more influential shareholder who can make a real impact.
